We already celebrated the end of 2016, but did you know we’re actually heading towards the end of another year very shortly? No, it’s not 2017-December is still a long way off! The astrological calendar is completing another cycle as the sun moves into Pisces on February 18. The transition will continue until March 20, which will signal the end of the astrological year. This rarely lines up with the year on our calendars, but regardless, it’s worth celebrating!

The end of the astrological year provides another moment to reflect on how far we have come, and what we still have to do. What do you see for yourself in the coming year? What do you need to leave behind? If you screwed up your New Year’s resolution, you now have a second chance to make a new one! Here’s what to expect for the sun in Pisces.

  1. It’s time to rest!

You’ve made it through another year! Yay! Yes, you might be inclined to think of all the work that still needs to be done, but give yourself a little time and space to relax. Maybe you want to take a day off work to be alone and spend some time reflecting on the past year. Maybe you want to head out of town for a weekend and get away from it all. Whatever it is, do it. You’ve earned it.

  1. You’ll probably be feeling extra sensitive.

Pisces just might be the most sensitive sign in the zodiac. They’re very emotional and empathetic-they just FEEL everything so deeply. So navigating this tough world can be difficult for them. If you’re feeling extra sensitive, don’t beat yourself up over it. Even if you’re usually a tough cookie, it’s okay if you suddenly feel like you’ll bruise easily. It happens to the best of us, and you’re only human, so no worries!

  1. Give minimalism a try.

Pisces usually doesn’t feel a strong connection to material things. They’re naturally minimalists at heart. Why not try out that philosophy while the sun is in Pisces? Try not to buy anything during this transit unless you absolutely need it. Be very mindful of what you use and what you throw away. Society will always tell us that we need more than we actually do, but don’t worry too much about what society says-because Pisces certainly doesn’t! Just do your own thing.

  1. Protect your energy.

Heightened sensitivity can lead to spiraling negative emotions if you’re not used to it, so do what you have to do! Build up that mental suit of armor! Meditation and yoga are especially helpful for this, so take some time out of each day to be alone with your body and mind. Finding a creative outlet can also be very helpful when it comes to dealing with negative energies. And try your best to only be around people who give you positive vibes-negative people will act as energy vampires and just suck the life out of you.
